Urban Art Fresco in Lille with Jef Aerosol, Mister P, Kelu Abstract, SamiOne, Design de Mala

VIBRANT, COLORFUL ARTWORKS FOR HALL 8

LMH’s La Filature residence, located in the heart of the Lille-Moulins district, has been transformed into a veritable open-air gallery thanks to the Filature Street art project, carried out during the summer of 2024.
This initiative is the fruit of a collaboration between the ART’SO artists’ collective and LMH ACCESS, a social housing association comprising Lille Métropole Habitat, the city of Lille and La Fabrique des Quartiers.

The fresco incorporates black-and-white stencil faces by Kelu Abstract, cartoon characters by Mister P, representations of textile workers by Sami One, and organic abstractions by Amaury Dubois.
MALA Design captured the essence of the site with its pictograms and chromatic work, while Jef Aérosol added the final, recognizable touch to this collective work.

All the elements of the fresco are linked by a red thread, which accompanies the spectators throughout their visit and symbolizes the link between the inhabitants and the history of the district.
